Derek Lau is a designer and animator working out of Gadigal country (Sydney, Australia.) He hates referring to himself in the third person, but succumbs easily to peer pressure.
For work, Derek specialises in animation and motion graphics for commercial advertising. He’s recently hung up his freelance hat and currently works full-time at BUCK as an Animator/Creative Editor
Outside of work, he enjoys exploring new techniques for personal illustrations and projects, inspired by photography, film and architecture. When he’s not at his desk, he can be found tending to his worm farm or watching Wong Kar Wai films.
